It starts from 1 Season - which is ideal for summer, 2 Season sleeping bag is for mild temperatures, 3 season sleeping bags are designed for cold nights with no frost, while a 4 Season sleeping bag is ideal for those cold winter conditions that can drop below zero. Warmth comes from the sleeping bag’s fill, either down or synthetic insulation. Choose down for an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio or synthetic for a sleeping bag that is good value for money and will perform better in wet conditions.

WHAT IS THE BEST WINTER SLEEPING BAG?

HOW DO YOU WASH A SLEEPING BAG?

If you’re an avid camper, you will want to wash your sleeping bag now and then. The best advice is to check the washing instructions on your sleeping bag and use mild detergent on a low-temperature cycle. When you remove the sleeping bag from the machine, don’t wring it. Instead, leave it to air dry, ideally outdoors. Another tip is to use a sleeping bag liner when camping, this helps keep the interior of your bag fresh which means less washing, and your sleeping bag will last longer.
